[7-23] Event photography lessons

• Do not take pictures of people when food is served.

• Do not check your images when in front of a crowd, and when images need to be taken.

• Wear newly washed clothes

• Check your breath

• Take advantage of coming early to enjoy the venue and meet the event coordinators

• Do not photograph excessively during a speech

• Before asking if a couple wants a picture, make sure you haven’t already taken their picture (!)

• Use a tungsten filter if the ambient light is very warm

• Carry gaffer tape at all times

• Format the memory card right before the event starts

• Battery are easy to mix-up, ensure you have charged batteries and a place to store used batteries.

• Get a full body shot (with space under the feet), even if this feels awkward
